Sets these days are typically modern electro/EBM, ranging from the gentle caresses of IAMX and Diorama through to the more gripping attentions of Funker Vogt, Suicide Commando, but he occasionally dips back into his more traditional goth past.

He is very happy to play requests - so please ask! He's also forever on the lookout for new acts to play, so if you have something he doesn't have, bring it in for him to listen to/play for you.

Doktor Joy began DJing in 1989 in Birmingham at the university 'gothsoc' club nights, so has in the past couple of months hit his 20-year anniversary of entertaining the darker side of dancefloors. During the mid-90s he ran the 'Helix' event list and website, listing clubnights
and gigs throughout the UK of interest to the goth and alternative scenes.

He is now resident DJ at Oxford's highly successful 'Club Intrusion', and guests regularly at Slimelight. He joins the Vagabonds resident DJ crew as of January 2010.
